Not everything you’ve heard about solar is as true as you might think.
Solar panels and battery system actually work all year round (yes, even in UK weather.) They collect from daylight hours and I think we can all agree that daylight won’t be going anywhere for a very long time.
No, this isn’t actually true. If the grid shuts the electric off, then your invertor knows to also shut off and stop supplying electricity to your home. It would be dangerous to push electricity through the wires, this includes electricity sourced from your solar panels too which is why it gets shut off.
False. Over the last 15 years solar panels have been on the rise and have also reduced in cost by 30%. Meaning now is the perfect time to invest in solar energy as energy prices rise by 50%. Globally, it is shown that solar energy is more cost effective and easier to produce than the traditional coal energy.
Solar panels are an investment to save money on your electricity bill that’s on the rise from April 2022 which is expected to continue to increase over the next 3 years. Solar panels increase the value of your property as well as saving you up to 70% of your current electricity bill.
Sometimes this may be true and you may not be eligible for solar panels to be fitted on your home. This may be due to a number of factors. Please arrange a free eligibility call with us to see if solar panels would be the right option for you and your home.
Installing your solar panels has never been easier. Maintaining your solar panels is very simple. In most cases, solar panels only need annual maintenance which will include a general clean and overall inspection to make sure that your solar panels remain in an excellent condition.
This is false. Solar panels will actually protect your roof. It adds a layer of protection over the tiles. Solar panels are bird proofed and easily maintained more than the tiles on your roof that may need to be repaired due to wind, bird damage etc.
This is one of the biggest myths of solar panels. Solar panels will only enhance the value of your property. On average around £14,000 however may be more (or less) dependent on the area you live. Many studies have shown that having solar panels installed sells houses faster.
Solar energy is actually a cleaner form of energy than ‘clean coal’ because coal isn’t really clean. Coal is one of the dirtiest fossil fuels we could use. It causes much more damage to the environment than any other fossil fuel causing mass carbon pollution.
